My 30 Day Challenge: Day 7

Go with your gut. I have to say every time I don't follow my gut instinct, I wish I had. Your gut instinct is there for a reason, it's letting you know what you should and shouldn't do. Most of us have forgotten to listen to the subtle sayings our body is telling us. I use to ignore my gut instinct all the time and I constantly found myself in situations I would rather not be in or doing things I didn't want to do. Now that I am on a course to self love and listening to my body I always check in first to make sure I feel right about the situation, whatever it is. Every time a friend asks you for a favour or a decision needs to be made this is an opportunity to check in and see what your gut has to say. If you get a bad feeling like you wont enjoy it, chances are you should say no even if this might hurt someone else's feelings. This might seem harsh but the reason their feelings may be getting hurt is because they are holding expectations about the situation. If they weren't so attached to the outcome then no one would be hurt by you saying no to the situation. Keep this in mind for the next time someone asks you to do something and your gut says "I don't think so!" It's only through honouring ourselves and how we feel that we can start making a positive change in our lives.
