I want to talk about love today. I feel like we are all taught from a young age in North America that showing "love" or living with an open heart is a sign of weakness. I think this is absolutely wrong and people who can love with an open heart and put their emotions out there live happier and more fulfilling lives then those who close themselves off. What's so wrong about showing your emotion? Nothing, that's what. It shows that you are a well developed being who isn't scared about what other people are going to think about you. You live life with passion and enjoy it to the fullest. When you cut yourself off from your emotions you cut yourself off from really living a full life. Life is meant to be enjoyed on all levels and in every moment so don't hold back, don't cut yourself short. I use to live a very cut off life and thought that "not crying" made me a strong person. In recent years I discovered that showing my emotion actually made me a stronger person and helped me live a more authentic and genuine life because I listened to my feelings and lived by them. Your feelings are there for a reason and it to help you live your best life, so start listening to them!
