Have you ever experienced those nights where you keep almost falling asleep but then inspiration hits, then again, and again, and again! Part of me wanted to sleep but the other part was so inspired I had to write it all down.
As I was drifting off to sleep the other night I had an idea pop into my head; "what if I did random acts of kindness and video taped them for YouTube? I bet that would inspire a lot of people! And then they would go out and do random acts of kindness too!" Since I'm all about inspiring happiness and also love watching people achieve their dreams it seemed simply perfect.
I'm proud to announce my next big adventure:
The Dream BIG Series: because anything's possible.
My plan is to go around helping people's dreams come true by asking them if there is something they want to achieve in life, do, accomplish, or have and then find places that are willing to help make it happen. I'm going to keep it simple and use my phone to record it all then put it on YouTube so you can all watch the miracles happen and get inspired to create your own miracles!
Some of the things I'm planning to help people do are:
-Meet someone famous (actor, hockey player, radio personality)
-Take a ride in a helicopter
-Concur a fear (skydiving, bungee jumping, rock climbing)
-Learn how to dance
-Cross something off your bucket list
-Sing on a huge stage
-Stay one night in a fancy hotel
-Get a spa treatment (like a facial or massage)
-Meet a dolphin up close and personal
-Be on a TV show
and so on...
I want to push myself beyond my current "limits" and see what amazing things can come of it. It's so true that you're willing to do more for someone else than you are for yourself. I find it difficult to work out my dreams personally, but when it comes to others it's a snap.
I'm also going to be asking all of you to come up with creative ways to do random acts of kindness yourself. You don't need a lot of money to do a random act of kindness. Simple things like buying coffee for the person behind you, holding a door open, putting back someone else's block after a yoga class, etc.
So do you have a dream or goal you want help with? Or maybe there is a friend you know that has a dream? A child maybe? Possibly you want to do something nice for a loved one but just can't afford it? If you do and you live in Vancouver, Canada, I want to hear from you! E-mail me at DiscoveringYourTruth@gmail.com and let me know your story! I want to start collecting dreams so that I can go to work making them happen!
Did I mention I'm planning on doing all of this with no money? That's right! I'm going to be depending on the kindness of strangers and companies to help these people's dreams come true. I may just be one person but I want to be proof that a person armed with belief and drive can and does make a difference!
P.S. I'll be on the look out for sponsors to help dreams come true! If you offer a service or have something you think would help or be of value, let me know! Let's build a community of people helping people.
